The SEO has managed and led several studies and assessments in support of CEOS. Links to some of those studies are found below.
CEOS Data Policy Study - March 2013
The CEOS Data Policy study intends to capture the data access policies of CEOS Mission-Instrument combinations in order to promote improved access to data and GEO data sharing principles. During the first phase of this study (2012), the study reviewed current and past (decommissioned) CEOS missions. The results included an assessment of data policies at the mission-instrument level, identification of a simple link to connect users to data access, and identification of categorizations such as DataCORE and CWIC. The SEO will continue to resolve issues with missing information, accuracy of the data, and categorizations for DataCORE, CWIC, and HMA. Results are available below in two formats.

CTF Gap Analysis Reports - March 2012
CH4 Gap Analysis - March 2012 (6 pages)
A detailed gap analysis report of CH4 was completed in March 2012 to support the CTF Report in response to the GEO Carbon Strategy. Similar to the CO2 report below, this report summarizes the requirements, mission and instrument capabilities and assesses potential gaps.
CO2 Gap Analysis - August 2010 (6 pages)
A detailed gap analysis of CO2 was completed in August 2010. This effort examined user requirements against CEOS mission and instrument capabilities to assess critical gaps. The outcome of these analyses are expected to stimulate CEOS agency discussions to address critical long-term measurement needs.
