Location: Hobart, Australia
The ninth meeting of the LSI-VC marks the first occasion since the 2019 CEOS Plenary endorsed the transition of the Ad Hoc Space Data Coordination Group for GFOI to become a thematic subgroup on Forests & Biomass within LSI-VC, and likewise endorsed the transition of the Ad Hoc CEOS Working Group on GEOGLAM to become a thematic subgroup on GEOGLAM.
This meeting will see the first updates to the original three CEOS Analysis Ready Data for Land (CARD4L) Product Family Specifications (PFS) presented for endorsement, as well as new PFS for Synthetic Aperture Radar. Ongoing CARD4L product assessments will be reviewed, and we will use the opportunity to engage new participants to LSI-VC in this process.
Further discussions are also expected around:
- Evaluating CARD4L supply, user access, and user experiences via pilot activities, e.g., with Digital Earth Africa, LSI-Forests & Biomass, and LSI-GEOGLAM;
- Private industry interactions with CEOS ARD and the planned CEOS–Industry ARD Workshop; and,
- Observation requirements and gap analysis tools.
Passports and Visas
There are many visa options available to people wishing to visit Australia. The appropriate visa option will depend, amongst other things, on the person’s purpose for visiting Australia. Please note that only certain passport holders are eligible to apply for these visas online.

For any other circumstances, please view other options on the official website: https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au
IMPORTANT: We recommend that applicants applying for a paper-based visa lodge their application at least 6-8 weeks before their intended travel date to Australia. All travellers to Australia must have a valid visa before boarding their plane. Travellers to Australia cannot apply for a visa on arrival.
